Insects
Bugs, as they are more commonly known, are the most populous and diverse species of animals on the planet, with almost 1 million different species currently recognized and more species being identified daily. Insects can be found in nearly every environment, though sparse in oceanic environments. Insects make up more than half of all living organisms on the planet. Mücken gehören zu den Insekten and are also distributed worldwide.Identifying insects is relatively easy. To be classified as an insect, the animal must have three segments making up its body, the head, thorax, and abdomen. They’re body mass is not supported by an internal skeleton, but by a hard outer covering known as an exoskeleton. Insects utilize a set of compound eyes and two antennas as sensory organs for finding food and avoiding predation. The most common characteristic of insects is that they all have six, segmented legs, all attached to the thorax. Another nature centric thing is the game Farmerama.
Bugs have been long classified as pests to man, as insects are opportunistic animals. Insects tend to live alongside man and utilize us as a food source, water source and shelter. Man has attempted to eradicate insects for as long as he has been in existence, however, insects are a highly adaptable group; many in existence today are thought to have been in existence since the creation of the earth.
Even though insects are though to be simple creatures, they have a highly developed communication system and many are social creatures who participate in cooperative efforts, such as hunting and breeding.
Most insects hatch from eggs and go through a metamorphosis stage, where they transform from larvae into a mature, adult insect. The adult stage of an insect’s life is usually much shorter than the larval stage, some only being alive for a few hours to breed.
